good to see this thread descending into the usual gutter level of humour that makes me feel at home. Welome Moon - I would definitely recommend a taxi, no way would you be able to cope with us forumites if you're sober (ok Winny is the exception who proves the rule!) :lol:

your best bet will probably be to find the bear, as Yngwie is the most famous forum member and definately the easiest to spot, also Yngwie's human parent and a selection of us will probably be with him

They'll stick out like a sore thumb after about 4pm on Thursday by their unique ability to walk unaided, drunkeness isn't strictly compulsory but it is hugely encouraged and widely enthusiastically embraced.

I wouldn't worry too much about finding your way back to wherever you've booked to stay, there's bound to be numerous offers of sofas, floors or even spare beds. We're all just as friendly as everyone's been saying.

Truth be told we were all HRH virgins no more than 4 years ago, none of us has done it more than 4 times!! As for tips: bring lots and lots of beer* tokens, and the intention to have a great time, the rest takes care of itself.
I'm sure the Amorettes will be fab, rest assured you'll see'n'hear many bands which will rock your sox off, some you're familiar with and many you're not (yet)

Thanks all. I shall have to discuss options with my co-pilot(s). We won't be arriving til Friday lunchtime so I guess you'll mostly be at the unable-to-walk-unaided stage by then. That should be quite entertaining for the stone cold sober new arrivals... :p

Now, another question: What's this I'm seeing about costumes?!
