That made me laugh so much I tried it: Quote: i should have known better having stayed at this god forsaken place before but as my son lives in liverpool i am limited to where i can stay. I thought i would pay for an 'upgrade' as previously the apartments were totally pants. For an extra £50 we got a microwave, toaster and 'clean linen' . However this was balance out by having a broken cooker, broken fridge, no heating and no hot water. When i complained i was met by total apathy. They did however fix the cooker but took over 90 minutes to cook a pizza ! The general cleanliness was awful and the entertainment non exhistent, unless you like bingo. I bought some food and asked the staff member if i could take it into the bar with me. He said " do waht you like mate its sh1te here" Went on to say that all the blue coats had been sacked the previous week and everyone had thier hours cut. Everytime you asked for something it was an ordeal. I cannot think of any positives other than it is a location to visit other places. The apartments are freezing and my son had to wear his clothes in bed due to the cold. The 'restaurant' had chicken nuggets, fried chicken, chips, sausages, bacon and macarroni cheese, presumably for the vegetarians.....I could go on but have caught the pontins apathy. All i would say is AVOID AT ALL COSTS Won't be going there then. LOL. Maybe we could suggest the bluecoats fill in for Ace?

Seems weird to me that someone would go to a festival for 1 band, would make more sense to have gone to one of his own shows.
We've been over this many times, the T&C's clearly state what's what, talk to the organisers direct, as we can't really help you on here.[/quote]
Well funny you should say that coz I booked HRH 2 on the strength of BLS,however I did find a few other gems over the weekend and met some top people and thats why I keep going back. But as others have said you would be better off contacting Fleur direct to get the answer to your questions.I would strongly advise you to come to the event anyway as it is always great.

Obviously there will be one stand out act for you, mine was also BLS at HRH 2, but there will always be others you like as well. I just find it strange that someone would buy a ticket to a festival just for one band and no one else. I just have a vision in my head of them standing outside until Ace hits the stage Is Elvis still playing?

I have booked day tickets for a fest before to see the headliner before so can see why folks are gutted.

It's probably pretty common for people to pay only to see one band, How many gigs have people been with 2 or 3 support acts and the place as seemed empty and then fills up when the headliner comes on. I like to see as much as possible for my money and sometimes the support can be a suprise.

But there were other bands that were there. I love checking out new bands at festivals, couple I am looking forward to this weekend. Reckless love are one.

I travelled from the Isle of Man to see KISS headline Donington in 2008. Wasn't arsed about the rest of the bill. Except High On Fire. And Motorhead.
