Let's hope he still isn't "bored" of playing live still.
;)

I love Ginger/The Wildhearts and he is a truely great great songwriter .. plus I've seen him numerous times. This was the most lack lustre i've seen him. When the Wildhearts played at HRH a year or 2 ago they were amazing and did a greatest hits.. I think his attitude and song choices this year put a lot of people off, and his set would only have appealed to the really die-hards.. Shame - he can do so much better.

Massive Ginger fan, massively disappointed. 1st time I've seen him play a duff set.

I was dissapointed too. However I have seen the Wildhearts and Ginger loads of times and he has never played a duff set. I know we all have bad days at work but it was a shame he said the things he did. If he comes again it will probably be excellent again but it was a let down this time.

Had been told not to miss him, shame he was very poor, slightly redeemed by the Cheers song, more for it's being so apt for HRH :P

Good?

No, capable of being very good but choosing a poor set list and annoying the crowd by talking bollocks.
:D

I have seen the Wildhearts about 7 or 8 times over the years, but never Ginger without the rest of them, and everytime they have blown me away. He just didn't seem to be up for it, he's normally such an energetic frontman. I guess something had pissed him off.
Miserable bugger.

Manstrating I think :)
Saw him a couple of years ago in Stoke and remember he said after on Twitter or somewhere he didn't enjoy the gig, it was packed and crowd very vocal. And he did a good set.
Saw him at same venue this year, nowhere near as many in, but still brilliant and he was better again, and commented this time how good it was.

I didn't catch the comment but it was hard to figure out what the between song banter was from next to the speaker but it was a stupid thing to say. But set wise I really enjoyed it. Great to hear 'Inglorious' and '29 X the Pain' etc being played. But I agree wth ATP's comment of 'This years Queensryche', it was a fan only set and can understand why most would be pissed off.
