below is a copy i have just taken from the official hammerfest site

"Apparently there is a chance of industrial action on the rail on 'going home' Sunday, which would mean no trains at all out of North Wales. (The whole Arriva network could be out)

If this happens, is there anyone with a couple of spaces free in a car back to South Wales? We live in Swansea but anywhere in the south would sort us out.

We are good for petrol and we don't smell, (much)

Ta

Danny"
so if anybody can help, log onto the Hammerfest site, ta very much :D

Nothing is set yet, but the bastards have been striking lately. The thing is, it's not officially a strike, it's an overtime ban set by the union (and all Sunday work is overtime), so they don't need a ballot or anything.
Greed like this from drivers who already get 40k+ a year is enough to bring out the (far) right in me.

As they have to give 7 days notice then we'll know by Sunday whether they're going to strike on the Hammerfest weekend.

Just been on the Virgin Trains website to check for those who are travelling by train. Looks like Virgin are running a regular service according the website. The trains go through Chester and Crewe so from there it should be easy for people to reach home.

The Virgin serivice around lunchtime was absolutely jammed full after HRH, so if you want a chance of a seat then you'd be best hanging around Pontins till the afternoon and getting a later train.
