Have fun tomorra. It's a weekend when I'm not back up North so can't make it along.

I made it.

Good meeting everyone, strange co-incidences and stuff. Hopefully next time the dodgy solvent smells won't be there, maybe one of the growly noise bands went overboard on nail varnish.

I still can't quite get over the coincidence!! it has been mentioned several times since.
I must say I was worried that there would only be a few of us but I had a great night.
Roll on gathering number 2 :D

So, we had our first little get together on Saturday.

There were 2 groups of us and we happened to arrive at the Well at the same time.
With me were my wife Rae, Russ, Anne-Marie and Mike and in the other cohort were Katie and Allan.

The Well had a show on and I’m pretty sure that none of us were itching to go into the venue area of the pub to have a look....ATP would have passed out with the noise.

Luckily because of the band we were able to get a table and we merrily spent the next few hours getting to know each other. It turns out that I used to work with Allans dad and it also seems that Katie and I have very similar tastes in music.

My memory of what we discussed as the night went on is rather clouded. I seem to recall talk of TV, films and naturally Rock n Roll (did we pick our perfect 3 band tour??)

I’m pretty sure everyone had fun and I’m very much looking forward to gathering number 2.

Replied on Farceborked, any Saturday in May apart from the 14th is OK with me.

Edit: Shouldn't it be beer number 5, 6, 7 or 10? My mum said I'll end up drunk like my dad used to :)
