Whilst I've been in York (10 years) it's been Bay Horse (locally Pink Pony as it was the gay bar) Cert 18 Speakeasy Stereo Although the people I know generally still call it Cert18. For those that want to know it's on Gillygate, there is a very small car park at the back (really shouldn't have said that so I could get a space - then again I get free parking in the car park). The nearest car park is Portland Street and costs £2.00 for an evenings parking (unless you have a residents permit). Soft drinks are a bit iffy (cheap syrups) but they do J2O and crabbies and Hobgoblin.

Anyone planning on seeing Tygers of Pan Tang in Selby this week?
Was thinking of popping along assuming there's on the door entry.

Well, from what I remember of the half hour or so spent there before leaving and getting utterly smashed in Stereo, I remember nothing of getting back there at about 2am. They do Jager at a more than reasonable price. Be careful though. I learned from the same trip that York A&E is not nearly as nice as the Travelodge

I do sometimes miss the 10 min walk home which has been swopped to a 30 min car journey - but at least I can sleep at night and am not surrounded by screaming drunk idiots.

There's a sale on at Travelodge at the moment.. I'm booking 15 quid rooms up for my October tour... lovely job!

Ooh, I may have a look at that. £15 is cheaper than a taxi from town to mine :\
I really was impressed with the one in York, but given I'd stayed in the Nottingham one a few months before, which is one of the most horrid skanky sweatboxes I've ever stepped foot in. Premier Inn FTW.

Leeds people - me and Tiger are coming your way on 3rd September We're coming to stay with a friend and go to Rock of Ages. Where should we go drinking first and anyone else out for a few pints that night?
