Might interest some of you - Rach and I have started writing reviews for the gigs/festivals we attend ~ basically we got fed up with the lack of local music reviews and as we already take photos and videos of the gigs we thought we'd give review writing a go.

Feel free to check them out (just the one review is up so far):

Very cool Lee.

Do you post edit any of the pics. Myspace aint great for pics as they lower the resolution A LOT but a quick tweak can make all the difference.

Are you planning an HRH review? That would take some writing!

Sorry for the late reply - was editing silly amount of photos last night lol (and Rach was watermarking them later lol).

Thanks for the positive feedback

Dave - I have taken to running the photos through an old version of Corel Photo Draw on an old pc - considering the age of the programme it seems very good to use and works well (shame its too old to run on this pc lol). Plus the majortity of the photos are taken with a bridge camera (for now)

An HRH review would be challenging (esp with soo many bands to watch) -we'll see what we can put together........

Sean - there are plenty of gigs around if you know where to look. We are lucky in that Chester has a university based there, so there is always something going on - granted you have to look hard to keep track of it all esp as the majority of the places that have live bands on are not overly keen on promoting at all (and then they wonder why few people attend any events lol) - a classic example of this is that we managed to miss Wishbone Ash playing Telfords last month coz it wasnt promoted lol).

We will be putting a review up of the Jaegermeister Tour event at Liverpool shortly.

Pix from it are up already: http://www.myspace.com/landr_publications/photos

you need to cut down on the photos though Lee, a 1000 at a time is way to many to take :P

You can never take too many photos (esp when you have lots of memory cards)
