Never expected that to happen, kind of assumed that as the main songwriter with Maiden he was able to satisfy his creative urges. Going by the song titles it doesn't look like he is straying too far from Maiden territory, but will have to wait and see I guess. Definitely think I'll check it out once it's available.

There's quite a few mentions of this over the forum, general opinion is it's fair to good but spoiled somewhat by the shite production.

I got it, but afraid I found it a bit disappointing, as it had been spoken of as more a Hard Rock record than a metal one I figured it would be right up my street. Unfortunately I don't find any of the songs that catchy or memorable, while the production is rather weak. But what lets the album down the most for me is the singer, just sounds like the wrong kind of voice, more indie/alternative than rock and it just doesn't work for me.

Shame.

Spoiled by bad production? How did that happen, Kevin Shirley did and he has done a great job with Iron Maiden. I wonder how this was cocked up.
Okay I am listening to "This Is My God" and Metal Sucks are right, the Bass is WAY up in the mix and says to me, "I'm Steve Harris, This Is MY Band, I Play Bass, and you're going to know it". The Singer's voice is annoying, I don't like the effects on the guitar and the video of blurred city images over layed of them playing and mountain shots is just crap. For a man that has written so many greats in such a legendary band that is Iron Maiden, this is fucking terrible. Blaze Bailey era Iron Maiden is a thousand time better than this. Sorry Steve, I was expecting a lot more of a man of your stature and tallent.
