Hard Rock Hell 7 (Cirque Du Rock) which takes place November 28-30th at Hafan Y Mor Holiday Park in Pwllheli, N.Wales is pleased to announce its first round of acts for this year’s event including a co-headline appearance by Black Star Riders. This brand new band featuring Thin Lizzy members Ricky Warwick, Scott Gorham, Damon Johnson and Marco Mendoza and who have now been joined by Jimmy DeGrasso (Alice Cooper/Megadeth) on Drums. The band have just signed a new Global deal with Nuclear Blast Records and will release their much anticipated album this summer.

Also confirmed to play on this year’s Hard Rock Hell bill are legendary Scottish rockers Nazareth, Former Iron Maiden Frontman Paul Di'Anno who will make his last ever appearance at this year’s event, Plus Northern Irelands The Answer whose new album is due out on Napalm Records later this year.

If that’s not enough HRH is also pleased to announce Love/Hate, Enuff z Nuff, Blaze Bayley (who is set to perform classic Maiden songs from his tenure with the band), Crucified Barbara, Lawnmower Deth, Gentlemans Pistols, Chrome Molly and Grifter.

Hard Rock Hell Announces Final Line-up changes and additions

Hard Rock Hell is pleased to announce the Final line up for this year’s 2012 Edition, with more last minute Ch Ch Ch Changes than David Bowie as Ace Frehley cancels for the second year running - this time failing to produce a doctor’s certificate, or to give a proper reason. His slot on the bill has been warmly handed to Californian rockers Ugly Kid Joe who jumped at the opportunity and for us to make for an even more exhilarating line up.

Buckcherry release their Sixth studio album this Autumn titled "Confessions"accompanied by a short film that ties in with the album. The band will Headline the Sunday night at this years event and close the event.

Legendary Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach has been Confirmed to Headline Friday Night at Hard Rock Hell 6 which this year takes place at Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales.

The dynamic Canadian frontman who built his name with Skid Row fronting the band between 1987 and 1996 and sang on their two most critically acclaimed albums Skid Row and Slave to the Grind.

Since leaving Skid Row in 1996 Bach has released 4 solo albums with his last album "Kicking and Screaming" gracing the US Chart. He has also since leaving Skid Row appeared in a number of high profile TV shows as well as fronting supergroups and opening for Guns and Roses on their Chinese Democracy tour .

Sebastian joins a weekend lineup which also features Ace Frehley of Kiss whom Sebastian sang with on his album Trouble Walkin on the track Bach-Back To School.

Hard Rock Hell & Hammerfest Festivals upgrade to bigger location

After 4 successful sell out years at Prestatyn, Hard Rock Hell and Hammerfest have now decided to leave Prestatyn and venture along the North Wales Coast to a bigger more tailored site location.

The new larger Haven site @ Hafan y Môr in Pwllheli, will see a major hike in quality units along with bigger venues, more eateries and generally wider facilities on site . This also means that both events will effectively be increasing their capacity to bring in an altogether new more tailored Rock n Metal experience which will commence at Hard Rock Hell 6 in December.

Hard Rock Hell & Hammerfest are operated by Chic Festivals SLU, Europe’s number one operator of boutique residential festivals . John Davis MD of Chic Festivals SLU said " This is the first step for us in what we see as a natural progression and is all about giving better value and an altogether better experience to the ticket buyer. This year we wanted to do some different things for Thursday but still keep the lively vibe as usual. We thought long and hard and one of the things we would like to start is bringing in a Legend and toasting their whole career HRH style. This isn’t the premier league usual who scoop all the prizes, but select individuals who in our eyes have contributed so much to the Rock scene in general. Starting this one off was always going to be difficult, however we had an idea, a very lengthy chat and our first featured HRH Legend will be John Mc Coy.

This prestigious slot will command a 90 minute set and feature original members as well as special guests over 4 decades of the musicians career. As we all know John has been in the business for 40 years now and is no stranger to no one, so when tasked, the first thing he’s done is reform Mc Coy with the original American members for the first time in 20 odd years, this set will be followed by a string of special surprise guests who will perform material from John’s entire career, namely Samson, Mammoth and the mighty Gillan as well as his current outfit, GMT. So there you have it, a mammoth set over 4 decades featuring guests and material from 5 bands as well as a few surprises….We asked John to comment on his career who was very emotional, but sometimes you just forget how much he’s done and achieved and what we’ve missed out on for so long…

McCOY....the original McCOY band formed in 1977 featuring John

McCoy,Paul Samson,Clive Burr.

Drums were taken over by Roger Hunt.....in those days McCOY would also

be SAMSON playing the same set. We got more gigs like that! SAMSON got a

deal and we recorded two singles (Telephone and Mr Rock & Roll) and at

that point Clive Burr joined IRON MAIDEN and THUNDERSTICK took over the

drum stool. We recorded SAMSONS first album "SURVIVORS” songs by

McCOY../SAMSON but when I got the job with GILLAN bass duties were

taken over by Chris Aylmer, who had previously done live sound. The

GILLAN years are well documented and it was not until 1984,after the

bad/sad demise of GILLAN ,I wrote a song called "Because You Lied" and

got back on the road and recorded the albums "Think Hard" and "The

Cartoon album" featuring myself PAUL SAMSON,T-BONE REES (vocal) and RON

"REBEL" MATTHEWS (previously with Maiden early days)and COLIN TOWNS

(keys)

During a British tour T-Bone Rees and Paul Samson quit and were

replaced by NIKKI BROOKS (vocal) and MARK KEEN (gtr ex THE GRIP)

Later that decade McCoy formed MAMMOTH with NICKY MOORE (ex SAMSON) and

KENNY COX (ex MORE)and this band had suitably huge success!

So into the nineties and I was asked to write songs for/with JOEY

BELLADONNA (ANTHRAX),went to USA and on the side formed McCOY mark 4

featuring AL ROMANO (gtr/vocal,ex LESLEY WEST SUN RED SUN, BELLADONNA

etc ) and MIKE SCIOTTO (drums/vocal ex FROM THE FIRE ,ACE FREEHLY

BAND,JEFFERSON STARSHIP etc)We recorded most of the McCOY album

"BRAINSTORM" while waiting around for Joey to decide whether he was in

or out of ANTHRAX

We rehearsed with BELLADONNA but it was short lived so we were lucky

enough to get RAY GILLEN (ex BADLANDS etc) to record a couple of McCOY

songs just before he died suddenly. These appear on the McCOY anthology

album (UNREAL).,and SUN RED SUN albums.

When I was asked to put together McCOY for HRH I called Al Romano &

Mike Sciotto and they cant wait to get over here and rock again...so

that’s the McCOY band for 2012! And rumour has it we could be joined

onstage by surprise guests! We are the Survivors.R.I.P. Paul Samson, Mark

Keen, Chris Aylmer.They'll be onstage with us in spirit!

Just to make it even more of a special Thursday night we have managed to bring in a band who have not been here for a while, but just in time to celebrate their 30th anniversary, so as a rare but special one from Norway, were pleased to bring you TNT

As promised we march forward with another multi genre announcement. First in from west side USA, we have a very very rare appearance from Vicious Rumors, it's been a while, but they will be all over HRH in December, with a killer show designed to just what the vets ordered.

Second up is Swedish hard rockers, Graveyard, who will be hot off of a multi sell out trek across the states, and adding a twist to Saturday afternoon with yet another HRH custom set.

As promised we will be hitting more genres than ever this year and with that in mind, we can't miss out a bit of AOR..so as a Friday evening AOR trilogy , this stint will be led by Ten, who will be joined by Dante Fox & Serpentine for good measure....Howzatt!!.?

Well it aint Monday, actually its Friday but since were on a roll and rooms are dropping like a politicians trousers...were off announcing again

We promised another Southern Legend and here they are..pioneers of Southern Rock...the legendary Molly Hatchet, personal favourites and guaranteed to deliver some Classics along with a very powerful southern stage to date.

Joining the Electric Boys in my Saturday afternoon Glam n Sleaze affair are LA Guns ( the Lewis / Riley edition)..with a new album on its way and a great selection of classics to choose from, this fits in nicely.

Lastly, kicking off the Friday special sounds stage, we have an Australian addition, from Classic Rockers..Electric Marys...we just love the sound and it fits right into the crux of that Friday agenda

Original Spaceman vows to give HRH a hell like no other this December

After last years unfortunate incident, which led to a late cancellation, Ace Frehley has vowed to return with a vengeance and deliver that killer 90 minute set he promised of the 78 solo album plus all the classics. It's been a while since Ace graced the shores and with a set that should knock down the very foundations of HRH, we could hardly say no.

This years theme is on the spaghetti western grain and we have promised a Southern stage aptly branded Southern Heaven on the Friday night. Leading the charge we have a UK exclusive from the legendary Blackfoot, who are currently writing a new album, the first in 18 years with Ricky Medlocke who is also producing the band. Joining Blackfoot, will be the classic southern sound of Skinny Molly, established and led by Skynnrd n Hatchet veterans..check out the sound, we friggin love it and it does exactly what we want it to do on this legendary night.

After last years late entry, we welcome back the Dogs D'Amour for a much requested Main stage Saturday night set which will expand on what they did last year and more. Finally Swedish Funk Metallers ..Electric Boys make a much anticipated return to the UK to gel into our Saturday afternoon antics of old....

So we're off and running...it's 4 nights of Rock n Roll Hell this year with a thunderous Pre Party on the Thursday and the all new HRH Xmas Rockers Ball on the Sunday....we're throwing everything we can at this and more to continue the HRH cult and keep this, as a must see landmark event that's become and continues to be a highlight of the year.....in fact some may say its a religion

With the new building and what was left from the virtually sold out pre sale, we have about 140 rooms left...If you ain't booked , I shouldn't have to tell you what you need to do Toute Suite!!

Well this is the official line from Ace HQ, so lets take it in whatever way you feel and move on...its shite timing, especially as were in mid flight / mid production....but HRH is an experience, he has committed to HRH 6 and we do have another 60 great bands not to mention 4500 of the best rockers on the planet, making this what it is..a FKN good weekend....Im not just sitting here twidling,..were all over it ( would you expect anything else), but did want to see official paperwork to back this up and next year before we communicate...Likewise weve been up most of the night looking at options n twists....leave that bit with us...just need a wand n a magic rabbit to round offf the night...get yourself geared up, I know this bit is disappointing but sometimes these things happen..fill you in face to face at the V.....


Ace Frehley has been forced to cancel his three upcoming UK tour dates due to a fractured left wrist resulting from a fall in his home yesterday. Doctors applied a fiberglass cast to Frehley’s hand and arm, and he has been instructed not to play guitar or use his wrist for a minimum of ten days. Ace would like to convey his deepest heartfelt apologies to all of his UK fans and to make it up to them, has already signed on to headline Hard Rock Hell 2012 next December. He hopes to be able to announce the additional rescheduled dates soon.

Well HTH2 was a blast and we now have six additions to complete the Young Blood stage. Gentlemen of Distorted Sound were the overall National winners, with the Amorettes, being a very close Runner up. All 24 finalists as you know were voted down from an initial 1067 entrants to the final 24 last week end at Glasgow’s Classic Grand.

When the spiders left for Europe, I’ve been constantly thinking of what flows best there and after hearing the new Bonafide album and seeing the HRH response, I’ve upgraded them into this coveted slot. The last two Thrash slots go to Liverpool short, sharp shockers…SSS and a blast from the past where we see old Thrash friends reunite under the guise of The Sanity Days…what is it, reads Steve’s explanation, it tells you what’s written on the tin….

When Onslaught reformed in 2005 there was constant requests from fans to play songs from Onslaughts biggest selling album "In Search of Sanity" However, due to the personnel not being right for the songs it was almost impossible to do this. When Steve Grice split from the band in 2011 he decided to put this situation right. Now for a limited period only 2 key members from the 80's line up in Steve Grimmett and Steve Grice joined forces with Jase Stallard from Onslaughts first 2 albums and Al Jordan from Killing Peace to play a hand full of shows dedicated to the album In Search of Sanity.

The Sanity Days is just that, all eX Onslaught members going out and playing some Old School melodic Thrash metal.

Joining the Metal stage for the last slot Saturday..all the way from the USA...the Thrashtastic.... Warbringer… will be jetting over for a special ear pounding session to finish off stage 2

Finishing off stage 2 on the special sounds Friday night, will be the highly rated and totally proven The Treatment..who are pounding round the globe as we speak and will finish off quite an incredible stage on Friday night

 Another 5 into the December mix now, starting with the official debut of LA shock rock legends Lizzy Borden, who are coming in for a main stage HRH rocker, special set for a special crowd. International as it is this week, next in are Swedish glamster’s Crash Diet, who just had to be in this years mix. After their Ibiza Road Trip appearance, we had to ask Kobra and the Lotus.. to make the trip back to the UK from Canada and join our Friday special sounds stage,joining them on that stage with their new sound, welcome Finnish heroes,… Anzi Destruction featuring Sisters of Mercy guitarist Ben Christo…Last up are new guys on the block…The Rocket Dolls, who bring their sound to HRH for the first time..(Mark Knopflers son Ben on drums)

All flowing nicely now with the last main stage act going up next week…Young Blood stage is now up for voting and all Vets n DC should log onto the forum and PM Horny Toad your results to ensure you see who you want. Vets can allocate 1 or 2 points to any band they consider their thing, DC can allocate, 1 2 or 3 points, sponsors have 5 points for 10 bands only, final 24 will battle it out in October in Glasgow at HTH 2. Just so you can see the final 75 in the running, here they are…get listening and get voting, must be sent to the Toad or else they don’t count…

Things just seem to get better, things are sold out yet the acts just keep piling in…its with the deepest respect we welcome the Finnish Rock Guru ..Micheal Monroe to an already, incredibly diverse line up…after the last 12 months cycle, HRH will be blessed with an exclusive set, cobvering quite a few favourites plus a few surprises.

Thursday nights VIP party get some more riffage too with the addition of the incredible blues legend Simon Mc Bride taking the forefront…warming this up with be the respected Silverjet and the newly discovered Kontroband.

It’s that time of the week and yet again we have another three bands to add to an already amazing bill. First up we welcome Jason Bonham’s Airrace, who after hearing them live, knew how much they would fit into this years HRH V Vibe. They will also hold the honour of will be opening the main stage on Friday night. Secondly we also welcome Prog Gurus ..Pallas, who are no strangers to the scene and are really looking forward to giving an extra special set for everyone at this year’s event.

Lastly we see the hugely demanded Demon, take the stage to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first release..Night of the Demon..again this will be an exclusive set to HRH on the Thursday night, making this a belter of a start to HRHV.
