 Hail HRH

Well HTH2 was a blast and we now have six additions to complete the Young Blood stage. Gentlemen of Distorted Sound were the overall National winners, with the Amorettes, being a very close Runner up. All 24 finalists as you know were voted down from an initial 1067 entrants to the final 24 last week end at Glasgow’s Classic Grand.

Final 6 are as follows

Gentlemen of Distorted Sound

The Amorettes

Sweet Taste

Raven Vandelle

Liberty Lies

Velvet Star

When the spiders left for Europe, I’ve been constantly thinking of what flows best there and after hearing the new Bonafide album and seeing the HRH response, I’ve upgraded them into this coveted slot. Taking their place on the Friday Special sounds stage will be a Manchester outfit that I’m really warming to…Obsessive Compulsive, look at this and you’ll see why.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj6M3k4WYBE

The last two Thrash slots go to Liverpool short, sharp shockers…SSS and a blast from the past where we see old Thrash friends reunite under the guise of The Sanity Days…what is it, reads Steve’s explanation, it tells you what’s written on the tin….

Quote from Steve Grice

When Onslaught reformed in 2005 there was constant requests from fans to play songs from Onslaughts biggest selling album "In Search of Sanity" However, due to the personnel not being right for the songs it was almost impossible to do this. When Steve Grice split from the band in 2011 he decided to put this situation right. Now for a limited period only 2 key members from the 80's line up in Steve Grimmett and Steve Grice joined forces with Jase Stallard from Onslaughts first 2 albums and Al Jordan from Killing Peace to play a hand full of shows dedicated to the album In Search of Sanity.

The Sanity Days is just that, all eX Onslaught members going out and playing some Old School melodic Thrash metal.

In otherwords another special set for HRH..hope you enjoy it, personally I loved the album…

Well apart from the HRH Unplugged stage which were setting up for Friday early doors over breakfast J…everything is complete…looking at posting the slots up next Tuesday.
